My mother (Nannie Mclean), and father(Graham) met in Rosehearty
during the war, when he was in the RAF. We moved down to Wigan when
I was 10 months old, but returned for many holidays. Plan to visit
again this summer. Congratulations on a very informative website.

My father and I roamed the Peathill Kirkyard almost three summers
ago under the guidance of a long lost Morison relatives - Mary and
David Abernathy. My father and I are currently researching our family
names - Lorimer, Strachan, Morison and Birnie (Bernie)from the Pitsligo
Parish. Our families started to leave the area in 1869 and these
families over the years intermarried and subsequently settled in
an area called Scotia in the Rural Municipality of Hamiota, Manitoba,
Canada. Keep up the good work - I'll be a frequent visitor!!

I was born in Fraserburgh and lived in Rosehearty until I married
my husband who at that time was in the USAF stationed at Mormond
Hill. I moved to CA in 1987. I enjoy looking up Rosehearty's site
often and learning all kinds of stuff I never knew about my home
town.

An excellent site! So much I will have to visit a few times to
see everything. My great-grandfather was born in Rosehearty in the
1870's. I wanted a little more information on the town and you have
done a great job!
