I think this is neat to look on here and see someone that im kin to, and that was alive along time ago and helped shape the Country. It brings emotion of pride, respect, and being a patriot. I think his life is very interesting. It's also really neat that he was George Washinton's advisor. My grandad was all kinds of stuff on him where it locates back to him in the family line. I think id would be neat if they took his life and made a movie. Well im about to go write back.

My mother's family lived in Rosehearty, when she left there in July 1926 to come to the United States, to live with her mother's youngest sister, my mother's Aunt Molly and her husband, Uncle John, who met her in N.Y.
My mother took the Steamship Caledonia from Glasgow.

My grandmother (my mother's mom) died in Mar 1930, and is buried in a churchyard cemetery in Rosehearty. My husband and I visited Rosehearty in Sep 1993. We stayed at the Cliff View Hotel. With the assistance of the gentleman in charge of the graveyard plots, we found my grandmother's grave.
THERE IS NO TOMBSTONE ON IT. I want to purchase an engraved tombstone from the closest area tombstone retail outlet.
I've been trying to locate one, but no luck so far. Do not know how it's advertised. Have tried the Fraserburgh directory..did see one mason listed, without an email address.
Can you be of any assistance?

My great grandfather,Andrew Young who died in 1917 aged 90 farmed at Newbiggin,Rosehearty and his farm was run by his daughter Elsie Young until her death in 1951. I last visited her with my father in June 1945. Does anyone remember her or any of her relatives in the area. I believe she had a brother,Harry,at New Deer. I was last in the area in 1979 but by then the farm had been sold off.
